South Wales Company Moves Into Japanese market
A South Wales Pharmaceutical company is making moves to secure clients in one of the largest and lucrative pharmaceutical markets in the World, following a very successful trip to Tokyo and Osaka.
Biotec Services International Ltd has joined forces with Osaka based CoreMed Corporation to help promote the services that Biotec can offer potential clients in the Japanese Biopharmaceutical industry. CoreMed will act as a representative for the South Wales firm, who recently experienced massive growth following steps into the US market.
Business Development director, Fiona Withey commented “Japan has a thriving pharmaceutical market and we are aware that there are a number of companies that are looking for a company in the UK to act as a gateway for them into Europe. At Biotec, we are already supporting more than 100 clinical trials and we have the capacity and facilities to store products over a wide range of temperatures, even as low as – 80 degrees”.
“CoreMed will act as a representative for Biotec in Japan to help find companies that require the services we offer and in return we will help CoreMed locate non-Japanese pharmaceutical Companies who require contract regulatory and strategic development services. We are delighted with the agreement and are confident that it will benefit both businesses”.
Biotec experienced a very successful 2008, following the company’s aggressive marketing activity in North America and Israel. The company spent a great deal of time, money and effort nurturing existing clients and developing relationships with new clients across the globe.
Having established itself in the US market and securing a number of new contracts with clients on the West Coast of America, the company feels that although it will still maintain a strong presence in the US by attending key conferences there, it is also important to instigate business with clients in every corner of the globe.
In 2008 Biotec also enjoyed a move to its large new custom-built £1.5 million facility in Bridgend which provides a great deal more space to meet the needs of its growing client base. The company also changed its name to Biotec Services International Ltd to reflect its continued growth of clients internationally, particularly in the USA, Canada, Israel and Japan.
