Female Directors Smash Glass Ceiling in Biopharmaceuticals

Two outstanding female members of staff at a Biopharmaceutical firm in Bridgend have smashed the glass ceiling to reach the board of directors and pave the way for women in Biopharmaceuticals.
Fiona Withey, Business Development Director and Rachel Fisher, Operations Director have both been promoted to the board of directors at Biotec Services International Ltd where they will take on an active role in the future planning and direction of the company.
Fiona joined Biotec in February 2007 following 10 years experience in various business development roles within the healthcare industry. In her short time at Biotec Services International, Fiona has contributed to the growth of the business by successfully securing a number of major new business contracts in Europe, Israel, Canada and the USA.
Rachel joined Biotec in 2004, following roles as a development scientist, technical support scientist and product support specialist at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. Rachel is extremely strategic in her approach to her role as Operations Director and manages the warehouse processes with meticulous precision and planning. The impact Rachel has had on the business in the past four years has been fundamental to its growth and success.

The promotion of Fiona and Rachel comes hot on the heels of the announcement that Biotec has smashed its projected sales targets for 2008. With an increase of 97% of US sales and 150% increase in the number of new enquiries, business at Biotec Services International ltd is booming.
